Bhakti Thapa added to the list of luminaries

The government has included Bhakti Thapa as the national luminary of Nepal. With this, the number of officially designated luminaries of the country has reached 17.

Sharing the decisions taken by the government recently, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Basant Kumar Nembang said Bhim Kumar Ojha (Paanchthar) has been elected the chair of the public procurement review committee and Mahendra Bahadur Gurung (Okhaldhunga) as the member. Likewise, Raj Bahadur Giri (Bajura) was appointed member of National Planning Commission.

Dr Arjun Karki was appointed the chair of the Nepal University Infrastructure Development Preparation Committee.

Similarly, the government took a decision to create a position of AIGP in Nepal Police Investigation Department and nominate Under Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Ramesh Aryal at the Advisor to the Director representing Nepal in the Asian Development Bank headquarters in Manila.

A concessional loan of 150 million US dollars to be received as budgetary assistance from the World Bank Group was accepted. Another 27.4 million USD has been accepted from the Green Climate Fund for climate adaptation project in Gandaki river basin.

Furthermore, Jivan Narayan Kafley of Syangja was appointed the member-secretary of Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training.
