The Danish Red Cross has handed over bags used for the management of dead bodies in the crisis like COVID-19, floods and landslide. The support was made in view of the shortage of bags to manage the dead bodies of the coronavirus infected persons at local levels.
The Representative of Danish Red Cross in Nepal handed over the bags to Executive Director at the apex body of humanitarian service, Umesh Dhakal. The bags would be handed over to hospital, CCMC, and district branches of Nepal Red Cross.
On the occasion, Dhakal thanked the Danish Red Cross for its assistance for humanitarian cause. He added that Red Cross has been providing mask, sanitizer and PPE for health workers and essential goods as oxygen concentrators to the hospitals. It has also been conducting awareness campaigns for the implementation of health protocols issued by the Ministry of Health and Population.
