Property worth Rs 14.3 million was damaged as a result of the natural disaster that occurred following recent rainfall in Lumbini Province. The rainfall had taken place from September 25 night.
As per the details released on Monday by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of Lumbini Province, 32 incidents of landslide, floods and inundation had occurred during the period.
Information Officer of the Ministry, Gangadhar Pandey, said three persons died, two were injured and one went missing. Two lost their lives due to floods in Rupandehi while one person drowned in Banke.
Similarly, 19 houses collapsed while 168 houses, three government buildings suffered partial damages during the period.
