Land Adviser AF Hassan Ariff today asked the officials of his ministry to take steps for disposal of the lawsuits related to Khas land and vested properties on priority basis.
‘Steps should be taken to maintain regular communication with the Attorney General Office in the High Court and government pleaders (GPs) at district level to dispose of the cases on priority basis to save the government lands from illegal grabbers,’ he said.
The adviser said this at the 57th team meeting at the ministry’s conference room with Land Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman in the chair. Senior officials of the Land Ministry attended the meeting.
Hassan Arif, also local government, rural development and cooperatives adviser, put emphasis on strict monitoring at the field level to ensure transparency and accountability in all ongoing projects of the land ministry saying, ‘No negligence in recovering government lands will be allowed.’

e reform process.
The meeting discussed the instructions of the interim government and Cabinet Division and the matters related to annual performance agreement, legal affairs, manpower, promotion, acquisition cases, Khas land conservation, draft laws and regulations, field level activities and web site monitoring of the ministry and its subordinate organizations.
