Govt should not work benefitting only the foreigners: NWPP chair Bijukchhe

Chairperson of Nepal Workers and Peasant Party (NWPP), Narayanman Bijukchhe, has said that not only the sand, gravels and stones of Chure area have been exploited while exporting them to India, but the Nepali territory has also been facing inundation.

Inaugurating the 10th Municipal Assembly of Bhaktapur municipality on Monday, Chair Bijukchhe stressed that the government should not carry out any activities benefitting only the foreigners.

He laid emphasis that the people’s representatives should work as per the people’s expectation.

Presenting the Policy and Programme of fiscal year 2021/22, Mayor Sunil Prajapati announced to provide medical oxygen, produced from oxygen plant with the financial support of the people, to the Bhaktapur municipality folks suffering from different diseases within the end of coming fiscal year free of cost.

He blamed the federal and province government of curtailing the rights of local levels in selecting projects in the name of conditional grants.

Deputy-Mayor Rajani Joshi, Senior Vice-President of Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shiva Manandhar, Chief Administrative Officer Ramlal Shrestha, said that the policy and programme is people’s friendly.
