The 8th session of the House of Representatives (HoR) has begun at the federal parliament building today. This is the first meeting of the HoR after its reinstatement.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is set to face a vote of confidence in the reinstated Lower House today.
While marking the beginning of the House session, Speaker Agni Sapkota welcomed the parliamentarians and extended best wishes for the success of the House session.
On the occasion, one minute silence motion was observed in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the people, democracy and country.
Similarly, Speaker Sapkota read out the letters received from the Office of the President regarding the call of the House session and formation of new Cabinet.
The President had summoned the meeting of the Federal Parliament on Sunday.
