The National Inclusion Commission held a discussion with the trade unions relating to labour on Monday.
During the discussion, Commission Chairman Dr Ramkrishna Timalsina stressed the new to review the minimum wage to workers with best practices for the development of jurisprudence. All local levels should prepare the statistics relating to labour, he added.
Issuing a press release, the Commission spokesperson Pushkar Bhattarai informed that Commission Chairman also opined that the high court could set up a labour bench by reviewing the jurisdiction of labour court.
Similarly, Commission member Hari Datta Joshi also pointed out the need of implementing the minimum wage fixed by the government. The discussion was attended by the representatives of various trade unions.
