Local entrepreneurs have drawn the attention of the Prime Minster as they were allegedly frustrated by the local administration, police, patrolling team and armed police force.
The businessmen here have complained that they were frequently threatened by them while opening the market. They complained that the local administration time and again come for random checks without any genuine cause, hampering smooth operation of business.
The Janakpur FNCCI officials submitted a memorandum to this end to the Prime Minister via chief district officer Bandhu Prasad Bastola. The locals have complained that they were forced to be present in the custom office while bringing the goods from their local warehouses.
Police suspects that the goods were imported via India evading the taxes however they were imported in the local stores by paying due taxes, locals complained.
