Most of the places in Janakpur Sub Metropolitan City have been inundated following incessant rainfall since this morning. The road sections have been waterlogged while governmental offices here have been inundated with rainwater.
The historical Bhrabighaha ground, the airport, office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, the Provincial Hospital, district police office, district postal, district hospital, health directorate of province-2, Bhanuchok, Kadamchok among other places have also been inundated.
However, no human casualties were reported here due to inundation. Lack of proper drainage and sewage facility is also said to have contributed to waterlogging the city. Presently, most of the road sections are being upgraded with the support of Asian Development Bank.
