The Special Court has demanded Rs 1 million with Nepali Congress Vice-President Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar on a case relating to corruption on Lalita Niwas land.
A division of SC Chair Premraj Karki, judges Abdul Ajij Musalman and Nitya Nand Pandey on Wednesday issued the order to demand the bail amount following the hearing on whether leader Gachchhadar could be remanded to custody for more investigation.
SC Spokesperson Pushparaj Pande informed that the bail amount was sought after documenting leader Gachchhadar’s views on Lalita Niwas land scam. He submitted the bail amount on Wednesday itself.
A corruption case was filed against leader Deuba on February 5, 2020 accusing him of involving in transferring 113 ropanis of land at Baluwatar to a person’s name. The leader was demanded Rs 96 million as recovery of the loss in the case.
