3,274 new cases of COVID-19 recorded on Tuesday

A total of 3,274 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country in the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, these cases were identified while testing swab via PCR methods on 11,565 individuals while antigen test was carried out on 6,124 individuals across the country today.

With this, 737,294 individuals have been found infected with corona virus while conducting PCR test while 76,833 are tested via antigen methods so far.

The Health Ministry further shares that 1,929 infected patients have recovered in the past 24 hours. This takes the number of total recovery from the virus infection to 687,069 as of today. The recovery rate is 93.2 per cent in the country.

The Ministry further confirms that 36,575 individuals are in home isolation while 3,296 are in institutional isolation in the country.

Similarly, 790 people are undergoing treatment in ICU while 191 are under ventilator support. The active case of the virus infection is 39,871 in the country. Likewise, 415 individuals are in quarantine facilities.

Meanwhile, 27 patients have died of the infection in the past 24 hours. The total deaths by COVID-19 have reached 10,354.
