Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the party is working to fulfill the commitments made before the people.
Laying the stone foundation for Kerung Ghol Lift Irrigation Project to be constructed at Bharatpur metropolitan city-24 on Monday, Chair Dahal shared that exemplary works have been done in his constituency. “We will work increasing the productivity to meet the needs of the people”, he said while stating that barren land would be made fertile through the medium of irrigation.
Saying that works have moved ahead to distribute land ownership certificate to the landless and squatters, Dahal said that the work for the distribution of land ownership certificate is underway through the Ministry of Land Reform.
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and irrigation, Pampha Bhusal, Energy Secretary Sagar Kumar Rai, Mayor of Bharatpur metropolitan city, Renu Dahal, and Director General of Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Sushil Chandra Acharya, among others were present on the occasion.
The project is going to be constructed at a cost of Rs 80 million and 200 hectares of land would be irrigated from it.
