Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairperson Pashupati Shamsher JBR has pledged to reconstruct a suspension bridge and a concrete one that were swept away by flooding in Sindhupalchok district this monsoon.
“I am saddened by the damages caused by flooding in the Melamchi River this monsoon. I pledge to reconstruct a damaged suspension bridge that was built during the rule of Chandra Shamsher Rana and a concrete bridge built when I was a minister,” he said while inaugurating party district convention of RPP Sindhupalchok constituency 2 and party province ‘A’ and ‘B’ here on Friday.
He drew the attention of the incumbent government to relocate and manage the settlements hit hard by the flooding following the conclusion of relief distribution and rescue efforts.
In another context, the RPP chair accused big parties of being failure to work in accordance with people’s aspiration. The ruling Nepali Congress has failed to give full shape to the incumbent government even three months after its formation, he lambasted.
He also charged communists for nurturing corruption and causing chaos in the country. “Although people mandated them to govern the country for five years, they failed to rule”.
RPP with its main agendas of monarchy and Hindu state would reach out to the people in next elections and voters would believe the party, he said. —
