11 KILLED, 14 INJURED IN SUICIDE ATTACK IN AFGHAN CAPITAL KABUL

Up to 11 people have been confirmed dead, and 14 others injured, in a suicide attack, that rocked Kabul on Sunday, police spokesman, Hashmat Stanikzai, said.

The suicide bombing, according to the official, occurred at around 05:00 p.m. local time, on the road leading to Kabul International Airport, when the motorcade of Afghan First Vice President, General Abdul Rashid Dostum, was passing the area.

All the victims are civilians and police personnel, the official said.

According to hospital sources, 48 injured people have been taken to various hospitals, for medical treatment.
