191 journalists test negative for COVID-19

The PCR test of 191 journalists has resulted negative for COVID-19. The test was conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory, Teku.

 

Director at Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, Dr Basudev Pande, shared this information. A team from the Division had collected swabs from 191 journalists working in various print and online media for COVID-19 test at central office of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on Tuesday.

 

FNJ central member and health subcommittee coordinator Govinda Chaulagain said all of the journalists’ reports had come negative and the reports would be sent to them soon.

 

Earlier, Press Council Nepal had facilitated for the COVID-19 test of 70 senior journalists. They had also got negative result.

 

The FNJ has intensified the facilitation for the COVID-19 test among journalists, who are working in the forefront of crisis.
