275 COVID-19 cases, one death in 24 hours

The country has recorded 275 new cases of COVID-19 and one infection related death in the past 24 hours. The caseloads were from the total 8,628 tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Currently, the number of active infection is 9,280 and the death toll has hit 11,932. So far, the figure of recovery has reached 955,458 with 555 in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate was 97.8 percent and mortality rate 1.2 percent.

Lately, 122,493 people have been vaccinated against the virus. At present, 9,026 infected people are in home isolation and 254 in institutional isolations. Similarly, 254 have been admitted to the intensive care unit and 15 on ventilator support.
