Additional 28 COVID-19 infection cases have been reported in a single day in Karnali State on Wednesday.
Swabs of the newly infected people were tested at Surkhet Provincial Hospital, Livestock Disease Diagnostic Laboratory and Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, said Dr Laxmi Narayan Tiwari, chief of the Health Service Division under the Ministry of Social Development of the state.
With this, the number of infected people in the state has hit 1,335 so far. New infected people are from Surkhet district (13), Jumla (four), Dailekh (three) and one each from Jajarkot, Kalikot, Dang , Dhanusha, Rupandehi, Saptari and Udayapur districts.
