A total of 758 people have entered Nepal from Gauifanta check point of Kailali district they were allowed to enter the country. Since arriving from various parts of India, they were quarantined in Nepal-India border. After arrival, they have been sent to the quarantine of the concerned local levels.
All citizens of Kailali and Kanchanpur entered Nepal from Gaurifanta check point have been sent to the quarantine of their concerned local levels and 12 of Doti and four of Bajhang have been kept in Dhangadhi-based quarantine. They entered Nepal on May 15 and 16.
The Nepalis willing to enter Nepal from Indian bordering areas are allowed to enter Nepal only after health test at Gaurifanta.
Meanwhile, arrangement has been made where Nepalis returning home from India can enter only from Gaurifanta via Paliya. Many Nepali, who have gone to India for work, have tried to enter the country illegally after being stranded in the border point due to the lockdown.
Accordingly, 16 Nepalis who tried to enter Nepal, demanding to enter Nepal, have been stranded at Bhajani check point and preparation was on to keep them in Indian quarantine, according to sources.
The Armed Police Force has been mobilized at border areas after number of Nepalis entering the country from India illegally started increasing.
