Ninety seven people have been killed and 43 are missing in landslides across the country in the past one month, according to the National Disaster Reduction and Management Authority. Eighty three people have been injured in the disaster, said the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer Anil Pokharel.
Likewise, 17 people have been killed by lightning strikes across the country in the past one month.
Three persons were killed and one is missing in a landslide at Kaligandaki in Syangja district recently. Two were injured, said the Authority.
Likewise, nine people were killed in a landslide in Parbat on June 13.
