Major opposition Nepali Congress has demanded that the government not delay addressing the genuine demands of Dr Govinda KC, who has been agitating for the reform in health and medical education sector.
Issuing a press release on Wednesday, NC Spokesperson Bishwoprakash Sharma reminded the government that it has been 24 days since Dr KC has been agitating and his health condition is worsening, but the government has not paid attention at all. He wondered why a committee is not formed for dialogue with Dr KC.
Spokesperson Sharma further reminded that the government led by Nepali Congress had held talks with agitating Dr KC and addressed various demands. Similarly, the Sushil Koirala-led government formed a high level taskforce and Deuba-led government brought ordinance and addressed his many demands. The current government's obduracy to not hold talk to Dr KC may be costly, he warned.
