Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Prasad Pandey has defended the current alliance of the ruling parties saying that it was needed to safeguard the constitution.
Addressing the 16th annual general assembly of Manmohan Memorial Hospital in the Capital City on Saturday, Pandey added the coalition was required in defense of constitution, federalism and inclusive democracy.
The alliance was needed to advance the nation's development by joining the hands of those parties together, he argued.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Pandey, who is also a leader of the CPN (Unified Socialist), said the alliance between the regressive forces won’t affect the five-party coalition.
Pandey is the founding chairman of Manmohan Memorial Hospital. During the event, he said foreign investment should be brought in at Manmohan Memorial Hospital to provide the international-level health care services there.
Saying that the Bagmati Province has passed the Higher Education Act, Chief Minister Pandey opined to develop this hospital as a university.
