Anomalies of share market being studied: Minister Sharma

Minister for Finance Janardan Sharma said that they were studying how to work in the best interest of the investors in the share market.

At a press conference organized at the Ministry of Finance in Singha Durbar on Sunday, Minister Sharma informed that the government had formed a committee to study the anomalies and aberration prevailing the stock market in the country.

A three-member investigation committee was formed in the convenorship of former Justice of the High Court to probe into the case relating to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Chairperson Bhismaraj Dhungana.

Government has already suspended Dhungana, accused of insider trading scam. He is accused of buying shares of the Sarbottam Cement in the name of his daughter. The Committee has been tasked with studying the anomalies prevailing the share market sector.
