Apex court orders non-implementation of suspension of Regmi

The Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the name of the government to not implement its decision to suspend Dhananjaya Regmi, chief executive officer of the Nepal Tourism Board.

A single bench of justice Dipak Kumar Karki on Wednesday made this order in response to a writ petition filed by defendant Regmi against his suspension. A meeting of the board of directors of the NTB on 17 December chaired by secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Maheshwor Neupane suspended Regmi.

The apex court has scheduled a discussion between both the defendant and the plaintiffs for 17 January, 2022.
