Army Day to be observed in Tundikhel

The Nepal Army is celebrating Army Day on Tuesday with various programs across the country.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will be the chief guest at a special function to be organized at Sainik Manch Tundikhel on the occasion of Shivaratri and Army Day. President Bhandari is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Army.

The Nepal Army has been celebrating Mahashivaratri as Army Day for two decades now. On the occasion of the day, various cultural programs including parade, artillery display and drill will be conducted in the Sainik Manch.

This year there will be a band display from the British Army’s Gorkha Brigade.
