Deliberations on the policy and programmes of the Bagmati provincial government will begin at the provincial assembly tomorrow. Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha announced that the deliberations will be held for two days starting tomorrow.
For this, the provincial assembly will meet at 11: am in the morning.
Earlier today at the assembly, Province Chief Bishnu Prasad Prasain tabled the government’s policy and programmes for the coming fiscal year 2021/22. The main goals of the policy and programmes are to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic and institutionalize the achievements of the province to date.
Chief Prasain said that the government would set up ‘Province Chief COVID-19 Vaccination Fund’ to manage vaccines for all the residents of the province, in coordination and collaboration with the central government.
According to the policy and programmes, the Bagmati province government will provide educational and social security allowance of 3,000 monthly to the children who have lost both their parent to COVID-19. The ‘subsidized credit investment programme for production and employment generation’ will be continued in collaboration with the banks and financial institutions.
Likewise, youths will be helped to develop entrepreneurship and self-employment through technology transfer, so as to address the impact of COVID-19 on industry and tourism sectors.
