Besishahar-Chame road section caves in

Besishahar-Chame road section, linking the mountainous district Manang, has sunk today.

The road along the Besishahar-Chame road has caved in at Besishahar municipality due to landslide and flood following incessant rainfall from Tuesday night.

Sub-engineer at the Dumre-Besishahar-Chame Road Project Office, Suman Adhikari, said that around 20 metres road has subsided.

He further said that it was impossible to carry out repair and maintenance of the road due to incessant rainfall.

Vehicular movement has been obstructed as flood has taken place at Puwa rivulet at ward no 7 of the municipality under the road section.
