Bill for quality management of metrology

Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu has said that the Standard Measures and Weights (Fifth Amendment) Bill will help increase credibility by certifying Nepali products going to the world market.

Responding to queries raised during deliberations on the proposal seeking consideration on the Standard Measures and Weights (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2078 at the meeting of the House of Representatives today, Minister Badu said that the bill is necessary for uniformity in testing, inspection and quality assurance in the field of metrology. He said that the bill has been introduced for the quality management of weights and measures and use of international and scientific method and modern technology.

The meeting passed the proposal. The House of Representatives will meet again at 11 am on August 7 coming Sunday.
