A team of Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Home Minister Balkrishna Khand on behalf of the government, and general-secretary Chand and spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Biswokarma 'Prakanda' from CPN side.
Also present on the occasion were Nepali Congress Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, Attorney General Khamma Bahadur Khati, Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey.
According to the PM's Secretariat, matters related to the implementation of three-point agreement reached between Nepal government and CPN and scheduled civic poll were discussed in the meeting held at PM's official residence.
On the occasion, the CPN side had urged the government to release their jailed leaders and cadres and withdraw cases against them at the earliest.
