Deputy Mayor at Birtamod Municipality in Jhapa district Pabitra Mahatara informed that the substandard roads were identified and peeled off during monitoring at local level.

The roads build substandard due to technical faults and recklessness of contractors had to be peeled off and the concerned ones directed to reconstruct.

A month back, she had reached at Pragatinagar of Ward no 8 for field inspection along with engineer, and other technical staffs. The team found fault on road construction- low quality materials were used for blacktopping the road.
