The Nepali Army Wives Association (NAWA) has distributed blankets and warm caps to as many as 206 families of Musahar communities at Nawarajpur1 in Siraha district, who were braving the biting cold.
The Association, in coordination of the Sher Battalion at Choharwa in Siraha, extended the humanitarian assistance to the members of marginalized community residing at Bhawanipur and Phulbariya.
Lives of people, especially those from impoverished families, have been hit hard with the cold wave that has prevailed in Terai for some time, according to the Sher Battalion Chief Lieutenant Colonel, Jitendra Kumar Gauli.
The blankets and warm caps were provided in the presence of the officials of the local levels, political leaders and commoners.
