The bridge over the Rapti river linking Sisahaniya and Gadhwa in Rapti rural municipality has been damaged by flood water today. The blacktopped road leading to the south of the bridge has been damaged.
As a result, vehicular traffic has been put to a hold. A request has been made to the Road Division Office, Nepalgunj to immediately maintain the road, said Chief District Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumbang.
The 860 meters long bridge is the second longest bridge of Nepal.
