Sudanese Vice-President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul-Rahman received at his office here Monday the Minister of State for the Commonwealth and United Nations at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and discussed with him means of boosting relations between their countries.
The Sudanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Abdalla Idris, said in a statement that the Vice-President briefed the British official on the situation in Sudan, progress of the country's National Dialogue and the human rights situation which is witnessing great improvement.
The British official described the meeting with the Vice-President as constructive. He said they discussed ways of strengthening relations between Sudan and Britain and continuation of the strategic dialogue between the two countries on human rights.
Lord Ahmed said he planned to meet with a number of civil society organizations and religious leaders in the country while his is in Sudan.
