Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho says state funds for a constitutional revision have not been allocated in next year's budget plans and no such request was made.
The minister made the remarks on Monday before the parliamentary finance committee in response to questions regarding whether or not the government set aside a budget to push for a constitutional revision.
Representative Park Myung-jae of the ruling Saenuri Party also asked how the government will secure funds to operate a body in charge of the revision if such a body is created.
The minister said the government could use the state reserve fund, adding that it needs to look into how much money will be needed.
Yoo expected that a revision-related budget will be included in next year's plan in the process of the Assembly's budget deliberations.
