Budhathoki appointed PCN Acting Chair

Senior journalist Gopal Budhathoki has been appointed as Acting Chairperson of Press Council Nepal.

 

A meeting of the Council Board of Directors held today took the decision in this regard as per the Council Act, 2048,  said Chief Administrative Officer of Council, Jhabindra Bhusal.

 

Budhathoki was designated to the post after the approval of the resignation tendered by outgoing Acting Chair Kishor Shrestha, added Bhusal.

 

The government had appointed Budhathoki, editor of Sanghu Weekly, the member of the Council in 2075 BS.

 

Bhusal shared that Acting Chair Budhathoki took the charge of office today.
