A case has been registered at the Supreme Court (SC) against Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal. Referring to the SC’s verdict on free PCR testing of the citizens from the government-owned hospitals, legal practitioners Lokendra Bahadur Oli and Keshar Jung KC filed the case at the SC today, according to SC’s Spokesperson Bhadrakali Pokhrel.
One year in jail and 10,000 in fine has been sought against Minister Dhakal in the case registered at the SC administration. Hearing on the case is fixed for Tuesday.
Earlier on 13 October, the SC had issued a mandamus order in the name of the government for free testing of the RT PCR.
However, the government on 18 October had made a decision for PRC testing by paying a certain fees except for poor and needy ones.
