Choi Soon-sil, a woman at the center of a snowballing scandal involving President Park Geun-hye, says she will fully cooperate with the ongoing prosecutors' investigation.
Following her arrival on Sunday morning, Choi's legal representative Lee Kyung-jae held a news conference in Seoul and said that she returned home to face questioning by prosecutors and will fully cooperate with the investigation.
Lee said that he asked the investigators to delay Choi's summons for about a day to give her to time as she is in a bad condition due to poor health and the long journey.
The lawyer added that Choi is feeling deeply sorry for causing frustration and disappointment to the people.
Lee refused to comment on the allegations raised against her.
