The Office of the Chief Returning Officer in Hetauda has sought a 24-hour clarification from some government employees for taking part in election campaign of political parties in violation of the election code of conduct.
Assistant Election Officer Sagar Sharma said government officials from different sectors have been ordered to submit clarification within 24 hours based on complaints against their participation in election rallies.
Once the response is received from those officials, they would be recommended to the District Election Monitoring Committee for necessary action.
Likewise, a decision has been made to remove those officials from being deployed in the election process.
Furthermore, response has been sought from the government officials for publicizing the political parties’ campaign through social media including Facebook.
