CM Raut directs doctors to take COVID-19 challenge as opportunity

Chief Minister of State-2 Lalbabu Raut has directed the medical superintendents at State hospital to take present challenge of COVID-19 pandemic as opportunity.

CM Raut made such direction during the meeting of the State COVID-19 management centre which also attended by the medical superintendents. The meeting held at office of CM and Council of Minister reviewed present situation and strategies to be adopted for future.

He wondered why the budget allocated to hospitals by the state government was not utilized last year. He sought suggestion how the present budget could be utilized for the improvement in hospitals. "The State government has been making every endeavour to contain the spread of coronavirus, so the medical persons and health workers should work with high morale.

On the occasion, Minister for Social Development Nawal Kishor Saha also reiterated that the State government was striving to upgrade State hospitals and control and prevent further spread of coronavirus.

Federal lawmaker and member of the experts' group, Dr Surendra Yadav, viewed that it was high time the all sides utilized the resources in the State.

Similarly, Mayor at Janakpur Sub-Metropolis Lal Kishor Saha expressed commitment that he would make initiative to manage land for building State laboratory.

The medical superintendents from Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Bhardaha Hospital, Lahan Hospital, Siraha Hospital, State Hospital Janakpur, Bardibas Hospital, Malangwa Hospital, Chandrapur Hospital, Kalaiya Hospital and Narayani Hospital presented the current status of the health facilities and furnished recommendations for improvement.
