Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated that the Supreme Court's decision on the ongoing case relating to House of Representatives (HoR) dissolution was acceptable.
Inaugurating the Gandaki Province-Level Conference of Nepal National Magar Federation and announcement of Rastriya Magar Students Union's Province Committee here Thursday, the former Prime Minister said that NC would accept the SC's verdict no matter whether it is for or against the HoR dissolution.
Directing the party cadres for their proactive roles, Deuba said that the NC's entire rank and files should be united to protect the rights achieved from the people's long struggle.
Also speaking at the programme, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel said that Nepal Communist Party could not lead the nation and ensure development despite the people giving it the mandate to rule the country for five years.
Stating that the PM took wrong step by dissolving the HoR due to intraparty feuds, Poudel expressed the hope that the SC will reinstate the parliament.
Claiming that domestic and foreign forces were making their ill attempts to push the country towards a civil war by creating instability, Poudel mentioned that the NC would guard the nation against such efforts.
NC leader Gopal Man Shrestha, Nepal Rastriya Magar Association's chair Om Thapa Magar and other NC leaders also expressed their views at the programme.
