As of June 29 evening, Province 1 has recorded altogether 1,216 COVID-19 deaths. According to the Ministry of Social Development, the ministry responsible for the heath sector, among the deceased 849 are male and 367 female.
”There are twelve deaths of the pandemic patients in the last twenty four hours’, says the ministry’s daily report. The recorded infection number so far in the province is 71,301, with 42,526 male and 28,775 female.
The total recorded number of recoveries is 62,471. Out of this volume, 37,534 are male and 24,937 female.
Meanwhile, to mitigate more risks, local governments and District Administration Offices of all 14 districts of the province have tightened non-essential mobility of the people. However, the health protocol seems to be ignored, increasing the risk of further infection.
”On National Paddy Day of June 29 also, many public functions were observed in huge crowd. Even pubic officials and national leaders addressed those functions which is very unfortunate, says Dr. Pramod Baral of Dharan’s BPKIHS.
