COVID-19 update: 74 new cases detected

 The country reported 74 new cases of COVID-19 in the latest update.

A total of 3,512 persons underwent PCR and Antigen tests combined during the same period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

There are currently 1,619 active cases of COVID-19 in Nepal. Among the infected ones, 1,558 were receiving recovery in home isolation, 61 in institutional isolation, and 19 at ICU.

Similarly, 160 infected persons got recovery in the last 24 hours. It reached the total recovery at 985,720 with recovery rate at 98.6 per cent, according to the Ministry.

The Ministry further said no fatality was reported from the flu-like infection in the past 24 hours. The total deaths caused by COVID-19 reached 12,016 as of now.

There are more than 500 cases in Kathmandu at present while Lalitpur has over 200 active cases. Likewise, the districts having no COVID-19 cases are Taplejung, Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha, Ramechhap,  Manang, Mustang, Syangja, Arghakhanchi, Dolpa, Humla, Kalikot, Rukum (West) and Darchula, shared the Ministry.
