A total of 760 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The new cases were confirmed from the 12,031 samples collected and tested in various laboratories across the country during the same period, the Ministry said in its routine virtual press meet today.
Similarly, 899 COVID-19 patients enjoyed full recovery in a day, taking the recovery caseload to 775,072 till date. The recovery rate now is 96.7 per cent.
Likewise, 11 people succumbed to the flu-like infection in the past 24 hours. With this, fatalities from the deadly infection reached 11,221 as of now.
Currently, there are 15,340 active cases in the country. Among them, 14,168 have been receiving treatment in home isolation while 1,172 in institutional isolation.
Similarly, 317 COVID-19 patients are in ICU, 113 in ventilator support and 236 in quarantine, shared the Ministry.
Meanwhile 90,993 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on Saturday alone. Altogether 6,446,957 people have been fully vaccinated till date while 8,127,262 have received the first dose of the vaccine to date, according to the Ministry.
