CPN (US) firm on Marxist ideology, Madhav Nepal says

Kathmandu: Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that his party would embrace the Marxist ideology as the communist ideals.

At a programme organized by Socialism Study Centre in Kathmandu on Sunday, the former Prime Minister claimed that his party would take the leadership of the communist movement for social transformation in Nepal.

Saying that preparations for the party’s 10th National General Convention were in the final stage, Chairman Nepal said that the party committees were holding discussions on the political documents.

On the occasion, Nepal said that production and industrialization should be promoted while protecting the working class people, peasants, industrialists and businesses for the country’s development and prosperity.

Also speaking at the same event, CPN (Unified Socialist) senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said that true socialist working guidelines should be in place to end all sorts of discussions, end unemployment and corruption in t
he country.

Likewise, Khanal reiterated that cooperation and coordination among the progressive powers was needed since the political mistrust in the present politics has encouraged the reactionaries.
