A curfew order is in force at Narainapur area of Banke district from 8:00 pm tonight. Chief District Officer of Banke Kumar Bahadur Khadka said that the curfew order would be effective until further notice.
The district security committee has also decided to mobilize a joint security team comprising personnel of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal and Nepal Police.
The area is one of the most infected areas from COVID-19. According to Chairman of Narainapur Rural Municipality Istiyak Ahamad, the curfew order is being clamped aimed at controlling the possible risk of riot among the people as the locals are panicked due to infection of COVID-19.
A total of 114 people are tested positive for COVID-19 in the rural municipality. Likewise, an individual died of COVID-19. Similarly, a total of 626 locals are kept under 14 different quarantines in the area.
