Dadeldhura records first-ever COVID-19 related death

Dadeldhura district has recorded another death related to coronavirus infection. A 48-year-old man of Nawadurga rural municipality of the district died at Dadeldhura Hospital last night.

 

He had returned home from India some days ago and was taken to the hospital after complaining of respiratory complications. He was already diagnosed with coronavirus infection in India and tested positive for the virus in the laboratory test carried out at Dadeldhura hospital, shared COVID-19 focal person Hari Prasad Bhatta.

 

This is so far the first death incident from coronavirus infection in the district. The Dadeldhura-based Garud Daha Brigade Barrack has been approached for the management of the dead body, shared by the medical superintendent of the hospital, Jagadish Bista.

 

With this death toll from coronavirus has surged to 16 in the Sudurpaschim State. —
