Students who have been articulating their discontent on the merger of ANNFSUclose to ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) today called on CPN chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
Noting that they have been injudiciously excluded in the central committee formed through the merger process, the former ANNISURevolutionary officebearers met with Dahal seeking justice.
Responding to the complaint, Chair Dahal said he would address the issue, shared ANNISUR secretary DB Saud. Chair Dahal responded he would ask ANNFSU incharge Hitman Shakya, deputy incharge Binod Dhakal, coordinator Ein Mahar and deputy coordinator Ranjeet Tamang to address the demands of disgruntled students.
Former Secretary Saud complained that their representation was excluded in the central committee due to personal enmity despite their activism in students' politics.
He shared they would also keep informed NCP general secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel, students' incharge Hitman Shakya and deputy incharge Binod Dhakal about the injustice.
It may be noted that the central committee of ANNFSU constituting of 335 members had included 180 from former ANNFSU and 155 from ANNISURevolutionary.
According to Saud, 13 officebearers of the ANNISUR were not included in the integrated committee.
The 335member integrated ANNFSU was consisted on last January 3. The national conclave of the ANNFSU has been scheduled for January 12 followed by central committee meeting on January 13.
