EC decides to assign focal person in all provinces and local levels

The Election Commission has decided to assign focal persons in all provinces and local levels to help and coordinate works related to the upcoming election.

According to EC, it is going to assign focal person for the various activities like collecting and updating voters name list, election and voters' education programme and information and message dissemination.

The EC urged the office of the concerned Chief Minister and Council of Ministers to assign election focal person to their Joint-Secretary and employees of the same level and inform EC in this regard.

It also requested the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration to assign chief of section related to education and social subjects as election focal person at local levels.

Meanwhile, the EC has passed the terms of reference of the focal persons assigned in provinces and local levels, said EC Spokesperson Raj Kumar Shrestha.
