Five literary books including those translated into Hindi from Nepali were launched on the occasion of the World Hindi Day here today.
Minister for General Administration Hridayesh Tripathi and charge d'affaires at the Embassy of India, Ajay Kumar, jointly launched the books amidst a programme organised by the Embassy and Central Department of Hindi, Tribhuvan University.
Those books are 'Ashwasthama' by Rastrakavi Madhav Prasad Ghimire; a collection of 12 stories entitled 'Utkrishtha Katha' by Bahrakhari Books; 'Kabyasadhana' by Yugakavi Siddhicharan Shrestha and other two Department's publications entitled 'Sahitya Lok' and 'Panch Katha' by Prem Chand.
The World Hindi Day is observed on January 10 each year in commemoration of the first World Hindi Conference held in 1975.
