Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged everyone to follow the spirit of brave ancestors in addition to the recollection of, and honor to them. PM Oli said it while inaugurating a seminar on 'Rastriya Sewa Dal on volunteering role' organized at Nepal Army Headquarters today.

PM Oli requested all to work for nation building by internalizing the glorious history of forefathers. Nepali society is backward for lack of perspective and information, PM Oli said, adding, "Now, holding the country backward can not be accepted. Creative and constructive thoughts and works should be continued to nation building."

According to the PM, the government was ready to make proper coordination, cooperation and collaboration among various sides for ensuring prosperity in the country. "The Nepal Army with glorious history and sacrifice should be active for nation building by incorporating diverse aspiration," he reminded the NA.

Moreover, the PM was of the view that social dignity, honesty, morality, humanity and patriotism are essential elements for social change with progressive awareness. He further argued that Nepal had already done research and gained knowledge with social arrangement, meditation and philosophy while many countries were still crawling to be civilized.

He stressed that the Sewa Dal need to be able to manage disaster with collective efforts.

PM Oli said, "We are relatively in a more favorable situation at present to intensify the development works due to advancement in communications and transportation, science and technology."

"The country is however in nascent stage in terms of development. We should now accelerate development activities. We should have common goal and common destination," urged the PM.

The contributions of the Rastriya Sewa Dal which bears a history of half a century should be taken forward with due respect, suggested PM Oli.

The Rastriya Sewa Dal was established in 1965 BS with the objective of bringing forth disciplined, honest and dutiful human resources in the country.

''Military training is not only for dealing with arms and ammunition, but it also helps for self-discipline, develop the feeling of national unity and integrity which is vital for the nation and I thereby admire the institution's contribution towards that end,'' the Prime Minister said. The PM who serves as the patron directed for using skills and knowledge to be achieved from training for the cause of nation.

Activities of Sewa Dal have different aspects and dimensions, he said, advising for the presentation of capacity and contribution at any time when needed mainly during natural disasters. ''To save, rescue and provide relief to the people during natural disasters and to protect national heritages and treasury should be the priority of trainees,'' the PM underscored.
