Minister for Forest and Environment Prem Bahadur Ale has offered his commitment to the development of various religious and tourist areas in Sudurpaschim Province. The government is serious about the development of religious and tourist destinations like Khaptad, Ramarosan, Badikedar and Badimalika, he said at an interaction on ‘feasibility study of zoological garden’ which was organized at Jorayal Rural Municipality-2 in Doti district on Saturday.
“There are numerous religious and tourist areas in Sudurpaschim Province. The government has put forward action plans for the sustainable development of these areas. Infrastructural works will take place soon,” he reminded. Khaptad is the epicenter of tourism in the area. Development opens the doors to economic and social transformation. "I will do my part to allocate budget to complete unfinished development projects of the area,” he made commitment.
According to him, budget to develop Badikedar in Doti as a religious spot would be released soon, and preparations were underway to provide landownership certificates to landless squatters in the province, he said.
On the occasion, Director General at Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation Dr Dipak Kharel said a zoo would be established in the province soon as per government decision to establish zoo in all seven provinces.
